Hospitality NT Gold Plate Awards
The Gold Plate Awards provide a prime opportunity to showcase the best of the Territory's restaurants and dining establishments, and recognise, promote and reward excellence and best practice in the hospitality industry.
2026
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Hospitality NT Gold Plate Awards
To make the nomination process as simple as possible, all entries can be submitted online. Simply visit the nomination website now https://goldplateawards.hospitalitynt.com.au/ to view the full list of award categories and the terms and conditions of entry.
Please note that nominations will close at midday on Tuesday, 24 June 2026.
For entrants in the Local Produce, Sustainability, Catering and Service Excellence categories, written submissions must be received by Friday, 17 July 2026.
Chef of the Year, Bartender of the Year and Barista of the Year awards are competition-based categories. Competition dates and further details can be found under the ‘Categories’ tab on the Gold Plate Awards website.
The winners of the 2026 Gold Plate Awards will be announced at the Gala Dinner on Monday, 24 August 2026, held on the lawns of Mindil Beach Casino Resort.
We encourage all eligible venues to take part and showcase the exceptional food, beverages, service and hospitality experiences being delivered across the Territory.

2025
The 2025 Hospitality NT Australian Liquor Marketers Gold Plate Awards were held on the lawns of Mindil Beach Casino Resort on Monday 25 August.
Over 550 people enjoyed a well-deserved night off to celebrate excellence over 24 categories. The night was the culmination of 8 weeks of anonymous judging and Barista, Chef and Bartender competitions.

2024
On Monday 19 August, in front of NT Parliament House on State Square lawns over 550 people attended the 2024 Hospitality NT ALM Gold Plate Awards.
The event was catered by Chef Samila and Chef Ravindu of Hilton Garden Inn Darwin & Doubletree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and their team and Jimmy Shu of Hanuman Darwin. IT was a vibrant array of Sri Lankan flavours, fresh local seafood, and delightful desserts.

2023
The 2023 Gold Plate Awards popped up in Darwin Festival Park with over 550 people enjoying the very best in NT’s hospitality with a bit of festival fun thrown in.
The event was catered by some of the greats in our industry, Dolphy Lobo, Cluster Executive Chef of Hilton Garden Inn Darwin & Doubletree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and his team, Ryan Hamilton, Chef and Owner of Porkin, Brad Stankiewicz of B’RAD BBQ and Jimmy Shu of Hanuman Darwin – an amazing line up!
