Hospitality NT Gold Plate Awards
The Gold Plate Awards provide a prime opportunity to showcase the best of the Territory's restaurants and dining establishments, and recognise, promote and reward excellence and best practice in the hospitality industry.
2026
The Gold Plates were held on 24 August at Mindil Beach Casino and were the biggest ever Awards night, with over 600 poeple gathering to celebrate excellence in the Territory's finest culinary and dining experiences.
Junoon Bar and Restaurant was the night's star performer, taking home the prestigious Australian Liquor Marketers Restaurant of the Year award, along with Gold Plates for Best Steak Restaurant and Best Standalone Restaurant.
Cooinda Lodge Kakadu also had a standout evening, winning three awards including Best Outdoor Dining (Mimi's Restaurant), Best Hotel Restaurant (Mimi's Restaurant), and Best Family Restaurant (Barra Bar & Bistro).
Individual talent was also celebrated, with Jake Horyna from The Cinema Collective named Chef of the Year, Annie Nguyen from Hanky Panky taking out Bartender of the Year, and Shimon Shimizu from Perk and Palate awarded Barista of the Year.

2025
The 2025 Hospitality NT Australian Liquor Marketers Gold Plate Awards were held on the lawns of Mindil Beach Casino Resort on Monday 25 August.
Over 550 people enjoyed a well-deserved night off to celebrate excellence over 24 categories. The night was the culmination of 8 weeks of anonymous judging and Barista, Chef and Bartender competitions.

2024
On Monday 19 August, in front of NT Parliament House on State Square lawns over 550 people attended the 2024 Hospitality NT ALM Gold Plate Awards.
The event was catered by Chef Samila and Chef Ravindu of Hilton Garden Inn Darwin & Doubletree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and their team and Jimmy Shu of Hanuman Darwin. IT was a vibrant array of Sri Lankan flavours, fresh local seafood, and delightful desserts.

2023
The 2023 Gold Plate Awards popped up in Darwin Festival Park with over 550 people enjoying the very best in NT’s hospitality with a bit of festival fun thrown in.
The event was catered by some of the greats in our industry, Dolphy Lobo, Cluster Executive Chef of Hilton Garden Inn Darwin & Doubletree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin and his team, Ryan Hamilton, Chef and Owner of Porkin, Brad Stankiewicz of B’RAD BBQ and Jimmy Shu of Hanuman Darwin – an amazing line up!
