NT Liquor Nominee Training Course

This free training course is designed to equip licensees and nominees with a thorough understanding of their legal responsibilities under the Liquor Act 2019.

Who must complete this course?

  • New applicants – Mandatory for all new licensees and nominees in the Northern Territory must complete this training as part of their liquor authority application.

  • Directed individuals – Those required to undertake the course as directed by Licensing NT.

What the course covers


The course includes five key areas:

  1. Regulatory bodies – The roles of Licensing NT and the NT Liquor Commission.

  2. Licence conditions – How to interpret and meet your specific obligations.

  3. Operational duties – CCTV compliance, responsible advertising, and record keeping.

  4. Licence amendments – Variations, material alterations, and temporary closures.

  5. Nominee management – Updating nominee details and appointing acting nominees.

This course is provided at no cost to support industry compliance and responsible service across the Northern Territory. You must achieve 100% to successfully complete the course. Please review EACH answer to ensure it is correct before moving to the next question.
